hey 05-05 greetings from ocs, make sure youre locked on when you get here or else youll be in a world of pain. i think you guys may get class drill instructor Gysgt Fowler USMC, which should be fun to watch. as for the prep classes, i will tell you, some people took them in our class brought their completion forms and still were required to take the classes/exam. at this point there is no "clepping" out of the coursework. its good to bring them in case the policy has changed. definitely get a mentor, theyre trying to work it out so that your mentor is in fact your class officer but theres been some difficulty in that. either way, make sure you bring copies of any and all medical records, run run run.....you will be running everywhere here and breaking the 2mile formation run distance by halfway through your 2nd week, get yourself a 2AA HEADLAMP (much better and convenient than a mag light), and get some blue masking tape from home depot that stuff is as good as gold here and very hard to come by. know your big 3 prior to getting here, permits you to sleep somewhat more instead of studying it. You will be required to know them by the end of your 1st week. keep your chin up, and keep the faith. its rough no doubt about it, and the stress factor is high, but it moves quick so prepare as best you can. good luck all of y'all from 01-05
