Lol I think for officers they are called designators. 1830, 1370, 1390, 1160 etc. When your enlisted they are rates. AO, AD, GM, AW, PR, etc.

The age limit cutoff for SWO is 29 for non-prior enlisted. I think for any community as long as you are prior enlisted the age limit cutoff is not as relevant.
