How does a lateral transfer work? I have a non-prior enlisted friend who is at the age limit who got accepted for supply but they really wanted intelligence. If they went into OCS, how long would it take for them to be eligible following graduation to transfer from the designation they got to the one they want?

If they wanted Intel why did they apply for Supply? I would tell him to just be happy with Supply.

That is what I asked too. The OAR score was not high enough for intelligence. I am trying to talk to them into taking what they can get.

I will be attending the class as a SNA. Can’t wait to meet all of you guys. Anyone know the regulations for what kind of running shoes we can bring?

I think any kind of running shoes are fine, just as long as they are not super bright and draw too much attention to yourself.

We get issued new running shoes when we get there. Only reason you would be allowed to wear your own is if your size is a special order, and you will keep wearing your shoes until the order comes in.

odds are if he was accepted into Supply his degree isn't something Intel would want anyway.

I will have to say though I got issued incorrect, faulty New Balances that were causing shin splits and feet problems and that received authorization to wear Brooks. This didn’t happen until late Junior Officer Candidate Phase.
If you have shoes problems, go to SMART. Do not run on pain. After hours during Candio Phase you can wear you’re own shoes, like going to the gym.
