Anyone know how long the FBI background check takes? Had to re-scan my fingerprints after i got the Pro-Rec. That was done almost 2 weeks ago... My criminal career isn't that impressive: 2 speeding tickets (which i thought would've been grounds for AQ for SNA). I'm wondering if those crafty bastards got a hold of my credit statement though. My credit score is good, it's just the majority of the money was spent in the "bars and liquor sales" category, and maybe a few "adult" subscriptions...

I don’t think for that specifically, they care about your past, all they care about is you’re honest about it and you don’t have a history of lieing or anything that could be used as black mail. Ex. Extreme debt, Excessive Drug use, for some reason continuous contact with enemies of the state.

Edit: But I’ve heard up to a year, they’ll give you interim clearance until.

Not to one up you but when the lady asked at MEPS how many speeding ticket I had I said “6 or so”, she laughed and said “you’ll be fine thats pretty average for aviators.” I felt slightly relieved and slightly offended because I was just Average.

Atta boy!
Didn’t lie about anything... And I pissed clean at MEPS, and would piss clean right now if tested again, for drugs. Thought it would just be a pretty routine background check. I had to get an FBI BG check through the DOT in March for being a CFI for my job and that took less than a week.
