23MAY2022 SNA/SNFO BOARD

Popping in to say hello. 10 year Marine vet, been a civilian for 2 years now, working 7 days a week to make ends meet. Looking forward to the board and getting back back in the service.

Those of us going to the airlines after service, how long do you plan to fly in the navy? I knew a guy who flew 20 in the navy and flew 27 at American and after retiring flew for netjets for 3 years finally retiring for good shortly after

Yes, this individual my contact was talking about is one of many that helps the board with sifting through worthy applications
The only ones that have a hand in the board are LT's and above, and they always take just a few days if that, most of the time is after the board when they do verification of various items and look for OCS dates.

Many boards are just the voting members that see the applications while the decisions are being made, this is not like promotion boards at all.

Anyone know how many applications the board tends to go through? Obviously it will vary but just curious if it tends to be in the 100's or 1000's and such. Wishing everyone luck as well, hoping for good news ?
