They are not supposed to, if they pick say 45 then that is 5 less the next time, it has only happened a few times and it caused a huge mess.

The boards have underselected way more than they have overselected, as it is they have people from Nov 2021 that still don't have OCS dates, and by the numbers they have essentially already met the FY 22 and FY 23 OCS shipping goal so people leaving about a year from now wouldn't be out of the realm of possibility which is why the board is told to stick to the numbers.

Now since they have so few spots for the entire year NRC could make a last minute call to just fill all the spots now and cancel the boards until next year.

I haven’t heard anything from my CO. I also didn’t see my name on this “at board listing” so I am a bit confused. Went into work tonight since I’m on leave to email my LT some questions.

Do you happen to have anything on the selection board tab in BOL? I only have my Chief board eligibility for the 2023 FY show up. Was wondering if we submitted a package, something would pop up there.

You missed the cut off by a long shot the cut off was in april, if your signature is correct in that your package was submitted the day before the board you will be on the august board
