According to my recruiter they typically find out a couple of weeks prior but, again, he is just one source.

not really, if you look at the previous boards some AD find out before, some after, some at the same time.

Yes I am currently in the military with almost 7 years active time and they did grant me an age waiver at 33 years old so it is possible.

They should have had you go through the regular process, per the PA if a person is submitted that doesn't meet the requirements they cannot move forward.
