That’s what the designator calls for this board what my recruiter told me . They have a goal they meet every fiscal year and break it up into 4 boards im pretty sure.

There is something called the Dashboard that is posted for recruiters to see what positions the Navy is looking for and how many people they plan on taking per board. It also shows when the boards are being filled with applicant and the amount of people total for the year for each designator.

Don’t believe everything recruiters say. I went through the process twice before getting selected and was told all sorts of different things about quotas from two different recruiters. The board picks what the board picks. Kinda seems like spreading fear and doubt to me. Dashboards don’t mean anything because the dashboards that spit out if you’ll get selected or not said I wouldn’t and here I am about to start primary??

No, the board is given a set number of spots, if they deviate from that it reduces the numbers or cancels future boards. There have been a few times they over selected and in one case ended up causing boards for 1 designator to be cancelled for the next year plus a few months.Don’t believe everything recruiters say. The dashboard is what NRC goes off of to track all numbers for OCS and ODS, the dashboard has nothing to do with averages of those selected that is a different document, and averages are just averages, yes you will see people with 9's fail out and people with 5's make it, but overall the higher score the better chance of success.
