That would be a problem
Not sure what all my possibilities are at the moment but I’m hoping there is some kind of reconsideration that can happen. There should be no reason that I have to wait through another entire selection process just because someone else fucked me over.

unfortunately you are probably looking at waiting for another board, in general when you push about something like this happening to NRC in nearly all cases they turn around and go "pro-N", now with the pro-N and DNR, I am not sure that is a risk I would want to take.

I remember we pushed NRC a few times when something was screwed up due to a person making an error, and only 1 time was it favorable for the applicant, and that applicant had already been to board, was a Y then the issue happened, so we fought to get the Y back and it was given back.

I received a ProRec Y SNA but I will be graduating with my 2nd BS in May 2021 (which puts me about a year away from OCS). I am in a spot otherwise known as ‘Finsel Purgatory’. Anyone know of any possible hiccups that may occur during this time? Can a ProRec Y be considered a 99% guarantee for a Finsel/OCS date as long as I stay healthy and out of trouble? Any advice?

Thanks!

Finish school after you go through flight school? You can always finish college later but why risk losing it?

Section 4.10 out of OPNAVINST 1420.1B is called "Reconsiderations," and it says that you can ask for reconsideration of your application if you are within 6 months of the original non-selection. From section 4.10:

10. Reconsiderations a. Applicants that are non-selected are able to ask for reconsideration of their application if they are within 6 months of the original non-selection. The following information must be provided to COMNAVCRUITCOM: (1) Applicant’s statement requesting reconsideration and an overview of additional information provided in the reconsideration package. (2) Any additional information for the board to consider (i.e., evaluations, PRT scores, officer interviews, etc.) (3) CO’s endorsement on the reconsideration package. (4) Applicants or command career counselors should submit reconsideration packages via one method outlined in paragraph 6 of this chapter. b. A new application must be completed if the original nonselection occurred over 6 months previously. 11. Inquiries. Information and questions concerning OCS and ODS programs should be addressed to: NAVY RECRUITING COMMAND (N31) NSA MID SOUTH BLDG 784 5722 INTEGRITY DRIVE MILLINGTON TN 38054-5057 901-874-9028/DSN 882 ocsquestions@navy.mil

To me that sounds like it may be possible, but this isn't necessarily my area of expertise. I think "my recruiter submitted the wrong paperwork" is a pretty valid reason to include "additional information for the board to consider."

The basic info is correct, but the 1420.1b does not apply to civilians.

He can reapply at the next board as the scores he would be submitting would be "new" as he had not submitted an application previously with those scores.

I have been in contact with my recruiter since Tuesday. They have stated that their office has not yet received the results of this board yet. Does this make sense? Don’t results get sent to all recruiting offices at the some time, ie this past Monday?

It is my understanding that they get sent out all at the same time, you are correct.
