31July2023 SNA/SNFO Board

No point in speculating like this. It’s nice to get self reassurance but really just freaks most others out in the process (especially if you actually have solid scores). We’re all high strung for the next few weeks. Best to keep heads high and cross the bridge of selection once we get there . Personally, I am very optimistic.

Plus, there is a Pro Rec Y SNA on last board’s spreadsheet with 40 4/5/4, meaning that the whole person concept is not discredited.
Sorry that is not accurate, that person was ISPP, that means as long as they meet the minimums they are in, the only review needed is by NRC to ensure they meet the ISPP and designator PA, then as long as there are quotas available the board sticks a Y on them.

I wish I had known more about that program before this board.?

We have someone applying this cycle who met ISPP requirements and applied ISPP but was not selected.

Y’all definitely know more if the specific example used was incorrect, but I think the greater point of the original post is still valid.

Applied the previous board ISPP and wasn’t selected. Reapplying this board which meets Monday. I believe his application this time is still ISPP.
They way it has been going is if a person applies ISPP and is determined or thought to not be able to go ISPP they will not put the ISPP tag on them, but the info doesn't necessarily get back to the applicant which can cause confusion.

That's the plan, but I'm cutting it close on age. I'm assuming no age waivers in order to get selected for that even though the PA allows, correct?
Correct, no waivers at all. Someone two boards ago was ISPP and convinced they had an age waiver. I think they got processed regular and just so happened to be selected. So it’s like @exNavyOffRec is saying that the applicant will never know if they got switched because there is no feed back and causes confusion
