31OCT22 SNA/SNFO BOARD

If not selected this board, are we able to immediately apply to the next, or do we have to wait 180 days?
I know that AD can submit for reconsideration (basically another COs endorsement with amplifying data, instead of the whole package all over again) and that has to be done within 6 months of results. keep in mind though, if there are no quotas available, chances are low because it is a reconsideration for the OCT board. Civilians may be able to same I don't know, this is coming from Mr. Celestine.

Also from what I've been told, I can immediately apply for the next board, assuming my package is ready to submit, no waiting period. The only waiting periods I know of are for the ASTB if you are retaking it.

My recruiter informed me that, if not selected, re-applications would not be submitted or even considered unless there has been a significant change from previous application such as significantly improved test scores, an additional degree boosting GPA, or obtaining a private pilots license or significant flight hours (just some examples he gave me)

Damn. My CoC says to resubmit even if nothing changes  a missed board is a missed opportunity

There will sometimes be a statement on the board results that will say "those who are not selected must wait 6 months before applying again unless there is a significant change....."

Since the next board would be May that is probably why he is saying you can turn around and submit right away, one thing to consider is if they didn't select you this time why would they select you the next time if nothing has changed? In some cases that does happen but if you have a chance to improve something I would do it so you stand out.

Those are pretty much the only ones that will count for reconsideration, when it come to aviation retaking the ASTB is the most likely way to increase you chances, unless you have 8's or 9's.
