Does anyone think realistically people will get December ship dates? Trying to decide if I should take one more class towards a masters that ends December 16th

It’s tough to say though if you do happen to take the course you can provide something saying it ends the 16th and it should allow you to get a ship date after.

Just curious on this... Does having prior service give me any sort of preference at the boards? I'm just slightly concerned because I require a medical waiver for my back which I'm sure will negatively affect my package.

OCS boards don’t look at your medical information. All they know is that you’re medically cleared… otherwise you wouldn’t be at the board.

When do they usually release the at board list? And how does activity duty get notified or how can we see if we made the board?

I’m active duty and I’ve been on the email chain since my package was submitted. If you’re not I’d talk with your CCC. The at board list usually come out the week before or the week of the board convening.

I received an email about two weeks ago from Mr. Celestine that my package would forwarded to the available board. Is that the email you were referring to?

Is it common for boards to meet and convene early? That would be great if we found out before mid November so I can know my plans for the coming months and when to put my notice for my current employer

Excellent question. Probably not for this board since the week before goes into Halloween. Most commands will be given a 96 hour special liberty to spend the holiday with family. However, I not 100 percent sure since I’ve never worked at NRC in Millington.
