Hello, well, mostly before I joined, I worked around a lot of maintenance departments., I worked with cars repairs, then shipyard welding and structural fitting(blue collar).
After I talked to some AMDO’s in the area, it seem very relatable to what I used to do, and I think I can bring something to the table because of it.

I’ve heard of an LS1 making AMDO before so you don’t necessarily need to be an Aviation rate. I think if you put in your personal statement your civilian experience and how it could relate maybe that would help.

Did you put AMDO first and how many other designators did you apply for? Looks like you and Devlopz are my competition.

i dont know how much the numbers weigh but all the appraisals were 10s across the board as well as my COs endorsement

just the one, its been my focus since ive joined, just with all the deployments and stuff it took way longer than i wanted to finish my degree. But if this doesnt work out im gonna try and up my OAR and ASTB to get immediate selection for pilot, I want to commission more than anything but i want to stay in aviation, I dont want to be a SWO, thats for sure lol

I mean that is definitely what you want on the appraisals. But mostly GPA, TIS, OAR and age are what matters. Everything else is the dividing factor between you and the next guy.

I understand if you’re looking for a commission go for aviation and supply. AMDO is extremely competitive, I wouldn’t make it my only option if you are looking to commission.

I would be 34 maybe 35 at start of OCS assuming everything goes well. Also, 9.2 years TIS. Hoping this won't negatively affect any decision making.
