Hello ladies and gents. I have applied for this board as a non prior. I've been anxious as there are so many unchartered territory for me. I have my wife and twin daughters to consider as well. I'm very close to the cutoff age, and I need to be commissioned before july, when I turn 29. I hope the results comes out quick and send me to Newport. Any thoughts and advice will be greatly appreciated! For those you that are priors, were you interviewed by senior officers? My OR didn't not specify any interviews are required. Anyway, good luck to all that applied!

BA: General studies (3.2)
MA: Recreational Therapy (3.5)
OAR: 45
Age: 28
LOR: My current and supervisors, wo2, and a retired commander.

I've applied as well and been enlisted almost 3 years now. Here is some of my basic application information:
BA: English 3.0
MA: English 3.4
OAR: 56
EVALS: MP, MP, waiver (because I was at DLI for 18 months)
Age: 31 (I got the age waiver)
LOR: O3, O4, O5, O6, and three past civilian supervisors.

I have two main questions for those with this special knowledge:
  1. Shouldn't the results be posted on BOL any day now?
  2. WHEN I get selected, will the government move my wife and I out to Newport? I know they usually only move a household when orders are nine or more months, but if OCS is at least 12 weeks and the NSCS/BQC is 27 weeks, that's 9 months and 3 weeks. How exactly does it work in this particular situation?

Thank you so much for any potential help.
Very Respectfully,
AD3 Frey

Yes, results should be out pretty soon. Also, you will be able to move your family once you get orders to NSCS/BQC. Good luck to you!

Thanks Franklin!

I mean no disrespect at all, but how do you know that the gov. will pay to move all my stuff?

Thx again.
Once you get PCS orders to NSCS/BQC, you will be authorized to move your house hold goods. This will be stated on your orders when you receive them. I have also recently met 3 SUPPO Ensigns (two of them being prior Yeoman First Classes) that have gone through the OCS pipeline and they have informed me of the PCS process when going to NSCS/BQC.

I just thought of another question:

When the selection results are posted, where exactly can we read that publication? thx

I spoken to a few officers and they said the navy will only move my family when I am assigned to a duty station, not the basic qualification since it’s only six months. I don’t know if that would be different for active members.
