What exactly does PQed mean? Does that mean that is a final select as well?

PQed= Physically Qualified. It isn't the same thing as Final Select, but its usually the major hold up to getting one.

I know how a lot of AW feels about marriage and training. I was curious though and if anyone has insight, I'd love to hear it. Am i technically allowed to get married between my FS letter and my ship date? Like, will adding a dependent jeopardize my trip up to Newport?

bro marriage is difficult in the military and I'm guessing you're only about 21 or 22?
I don't know if it will jeopardize anything but still don't do it. You're young and military and flight school will be your priority. There is no reason to rush into it and jump the gun. I'd say wait at least til you wing, even better wait til after your first deployment to see if it will work. You don't wanna be the guy whose wife is causing them problems on deployment and affects readiness for everyone else. It happens so often and its a total downer. Just wait. I know this advice prob won't make make much difference but I thought I'd throw it out there. Marriage is a huge commitment and you're about to go on the ride of your life, so why rush?

well that's not to bad than. I thought you were still in college. Maybe just wait til after ocs or primary.
a lot of guys in my brothers class in flight school just moved their gfs down to pcola and corpus and lived with them with plans to marry after wings.
I think that is a good plan

Another follow up question. I'm a naturalized citizen and after speaking with OCS process, he told me that I would have to officially renounce my citizenship from the country I was born in (Ukraine), even though I already did it myself. Does anyone know how long this process might take since it might hinder my final select status?

I also had that scare with Depth Perception. I did pass (with PASS F) so I guess that answers our questions about that.
I got NPQed for a PRK issue that I don't really fully understand. They said that the post-op spherical refraction in my right eye is unstable between two separate checkups and that I need to go back to an optometrist for another checkup to make sure it is stable. I don't see anything in the waiver guide that refers to this. Even with the "instability" I am within the pre-op and post-op limits. Don't really see the issue.

Glad to hear! That is PQ'd for SNA correct? So they did take a look at your retest with the civilian optometrist and re-qualify you? If that's the case, then it's good news to hear they are being flexible and realize the test can be faulty.
Yup, PQ'd for SNA. It was very simple, saw an optometrist last Thursday, he had to write a letter that was about three lines describing what test I took and what my depth perception was, sent it up to NRC on Thursday afternoon and got word back this morning.
Which NRC are you dealing with?
