I take my PRT monday and I'm going to tell my recruiter that I WANT that class date and ask him to do anything he can to get me there then.

Congrats LG!!! Good to see the process moved right along for you. When did you get your Pro Rec, tail end of Aug?
My recruiter mentioned something about the 22 Nov class, as a slight possibility- but more than likely an early January class. Will they let you come home for Christmas leave?
Good luck guys and gals, I caught a small glimpse of what life will be like at OCS, the Marines always look pist, always yelling and make you wear some silly shit when you get there.... but its all worth it in the end... I will be up there for DCOIC, Good luck to all and remeber "Dont be that guy" and life will be easy.....

Finished my PRT today. Everything went well; however, found out my recruiter is transferring by the end of the month. He's trying to get all of his people sworn in within the next two weeks so he doesn't leave anyone in a shuffle.
Thanks Overspeed, I appreciate it!!! I received my pro-rec somewhere around the last week of August "it took roughly a month to receive my final select." I do not believe they will be letting us leave for Christmas, I'm pretty sure that once you begin OCS they do not give leave till you are finished.

A quick search with the almighty google reveals that previous candidates get xmas off and you can take up to the 7.5 days you accrue during OCS off (2.5 days per month). If you take off more than 7.5 days you must pay the balance at the end of OCS... :sleep_125

Saw my recruiter yesterday, waiting for my medical waivers to clear from the AF to the Navy. My or said I shouldn't see any problems with anything else. He also is "Betting" towards jan 15th or december 31st range of time I could leave. maybe we'll land up in the same class together if early jan.

Guys here are the acceptance rates for our month:
Pilot BDCP: 5 out of 9 accepted = 55%
Pilot DA: 30 out of 46 = 65%
NFO BDCP: 8 out of 14 = 57%
NFO DA: 29 out of 56 = 52%
SWO BDCP: 14 out of 24 = 58%
SWO DA: 63 out of 109 = 58%
SWO-Option DA: 1 out of 4 = 25%

Final Select SNA
So I got an email from my recruiter today. I got my physical qualification waivers out of the way and I have been found qualified for SNA. So now were just waiting on my final selection letter and class date. I'm thinking that the november 22nd - December class dates aren't an imaginary date anymore. I'm excited, anyone else get any good news?

There are typically not any classes in December, but the 22nd is a strong possibility. That's what I'm going for also.

Ahh I didn't know they didn't start new classes in December. Well from the looks of things acouple of people on here are in the 22nd november class, so hopefully acouple more of us will be, and will all beable to graduate together and leave a snapshot for AW after all said and done!

Does anyone know the specifics regarding being "cleared" by MEPS and how that works with having LASIK? Should I be expecting having to request a Navy specific waiver in the near future before my Final Selection?

Got my final select a couple of days ago...swearing in tomorrow! I'm in the supply BDCP, so hopefully leaving in june after a May graduation. Congrats to everyone else here it was a long road and now the fun parts about to start.
