Why "more nutty"? Seems like there ought to be some pretty good lessons learned floating around considering that it is the same det site we used last year. Do you mean something else?

I mean something else, but I'll hold off until more actual info comes out. I'm not knocking the det idea, by any means. It makes a lot of sense.

I'm starting to wonder if they're going to clamp down on the pipeline at API or just start sending more studs to Whiting.

The problem is that our numbers here are already increasing for next FY (I think it's 43-ish). So there's not much more room to pump more bodies through w/out more airplanes and IPs, which isn't going to happen.

I've heard some stories about the Los Cruces det from guys here in 8 and it sounded like a pretty good time for flying. Granted, the slow times at Corpus would suck but the det itself would be a plus I'd think.

There were a couple of guys in the HABD training today that just got back from Corpus, took one guys 9 months to get through, now this may just be me, but I would rather have done the 4 1/2 months it took me at Whiting and been a little more stressed out sometimes than had multiple weeks where either I didn't fly or I only flew once. I was always more stressed when I wasn't flying than when I was flying every day since I had time to sit around and what if myself to death and worry about not having studied enough.

It doesn't end in VTs either. Since checking into my fleet squadron I've had one month with 0 flight time and several with 1 or 2 flights. I flew nearly as much in 10 days at AUTEC as I did the previous 6 months combined.
