Before I left DLA was available up to 3 months with a 2 year payback. Your PCS from one station to the other and the station had to be greater then 50 miles. Also, it wasn't always how often you applied for DLA but that you had to have the previous DLA paid off.
Man, you guys have a lot to learn about perdiem/travel claims. Sure hope you don't eventually get CODs or P-3s. Well, maybe you should and then you will learn the in and outs of perdiem and travel claims. No travel claim should take more then a month and I'm talking a very complicated one from 6 months of cruise in 8-9 countries/locations with multiple types of currency. A simple PCS move should take no more then 2 weeks unless maybe you've got a DK (if there still called that) in training. It's not like your the first sailor/marine to walk through there door.
Like mentioned before, take the money and invest and pay back a 10g interest free loan. It doesn't get any better then that.
