Was he bringing the talent but not utilizing it? Bad coaching? Or do kids not want to go to Flatland USA?

On a sad note, I saw this article about how college stadiums are starting to reduce capacity for more luxury boxes. Doak Campbell is discussing taking out 10,000 seats.

Gee, it is almost like college football is not about the 'student' athletes. Or college.

It damn well better be about college for the vast majority of players who will never sniff the NFL, and most of the rest who will be on minimal contracts and then out of the league in 3 years. The people making early-round draft pick money are the extreme outliers, and we shouldn't be assuming their success when designing a system.

Sure, there's always been some level of shenanigans, but college athletics get ruined when greedy people exploit apathetic cynical takes like this.

I think college athletics is doing fine ruining itself without my apathetically cynical hot take.

Nobody bring up Jay Paterno, please.
Hey, the Spread HD actually worked . . . sort of. Sometimes. Jay was at least a mediocre OC, as opposed to the absolute dumpster fire that is Iowa this year.

We flew a drone from the top of the stadium during the game last night to get some B-roll footage for the athletic department. Up there with the snipers that overwatch the tailgate fields. Best view in the house. Place was crazy.

Georgia takes out previously undefeated Tennessee 27-13 today and looks to be headed to the SEC Championship and likely the playoffs.

It does set up an interesting question. If the 4th playoff spot comes down to a 12-1 Oregon and a 11-1 Tennessee and their common opponent was Georgia, which will matter more? Oregon winning their conference or getting blown out 49-3 by the Bulldogs to start the season.

Well, no one likes to watch the same game twice, so Oregon.

Take 'em as a 4th seed and they're probably a sacrificial lamb anyway.

Edit: I'd have said they'd end up getting Clemsoned, but Clemson appears to be Clemsoning this evening, and so it appears that verb may need to revert to its previous meaning.

Tennessee and Clemson both got beat badly today, Bama lost on a 2pt conversion in OT and might not make the SEC championship game. Going to be some big shakeups when the polls come out on Monday.

Perhaps Ohio St and Michigan both make the playoffs this year along with Georgia and Oregon?

If you move just enough pieces on the chess board OU still has a chance! JUST KIDDING (tough year for those guys). I agree with @Randy Daytona with the exception of a possible place for TCU because of the OSU v Michigan game.
