I work for the director for intelligence I'm his nco. But my point is that other applicants in my eyes have in many other ways advantages that I don't for example I have no warfare pin,minimal awards and average scores on the sat. My point is even though selection. May be low it's still anyone's game so keep your heads up and focus on why you are the stand out sailor. Now time for a beer and halo!

Applicants who barely miss the cut for their primary community are the first to get selected for CORE. What the ppt is saying is that 6 (not 4) more CTs would have been selected for CORE had they not applied for IW only.

Too bad they can't just stick us in core even if we didn't apply, or SWO or basically anything for that matter.

Yea Nat, i agree with you on that to a certain extent. Don't get me wrong, i definitely want to be a Naval Officer, but having the board select not select me for my target and putting me in an option i wanted absolutely nothing to do with is not something im completely comfortable with. It would be nice if we could select a few different target options, kind've like OCS does it.

where are all you guys seeing the numbers for how many applied for each option and how many were selected/disqualified? i read a post earlier w/ someone stating that they "saw were it said only 2 applied and 2 were selected."

Hey, Advantix00- check back on page 34. GERM had a post with a STA-21.ppt link on it, that's where all of the numbers are coming from. It's like a hot wash from this years board members. Hopefully it's good news for ya!

I woke up late missed my flight, paid 250$ to get another flight just for them to tell me they wouldn't let me check in on the flight they just sold me a ticket for. After a little persuasion and a few threats they changed my flight to later in the day. Where do I turn after all that? AW!! Even though the odds are not in my favor, this site helps calm me.

Well I put my acceptance letter to South Carolina in my package and that is where I planned on going. Of course, after finding out Intel is 2%, this weekend College Gameday is coming from the South Carolina campus and there is big hype about the Alabama game; I think someone is mocking me...
