This came off of the Fleet Brief:

Able to complete degree requirements and be commissioned prior to 27th birthday. Maximum age limit may be adjusted to - prior 29th birthday.

that age limit is only adjustable for the URL specific communities though (SPECWAR, EOD, etc..) In SPECWAR and EOD, if (BIG IF) you already have those particular NECs to qualify in the first place, the age can be adjusted up to 35. Pilot and NFO age limits are up to 27 with a formal waiver up to 29, SWO is up to 28 with no chance at waivers and SUB is 31 with formal waivers on case by case basis. so for someone like me, my CORE waiver would have been rejected cause I'll be 29 at the time I start school.

Question: I have been looking at OCS options to shoot for after I get my degree. I am 28 and will be 29-30 when I finish my Bachelors. Once I get my degree will I no longer be eligible for STA-21. If not, it seems that OCS only goes up to 29 y/o. Am out of luck after I get my degree?

doesnt this depend on the community? each community has their own disqualifying age...

Once you have your Bachelors your no longer eligible for STA-21, and like STA-21 each option for OCS has different age restrictions. All these questions can be looked up in the 1420.1B. Anyone who is enlisted and aspiring for a commision should make this pub thier best friend.
