FY20 Oct. 28, 2019 SNA/NFO Board

Good afternoon, ladies and gents.
I too have been watching this thread for quite some time and have gotten a lot of enjoyment out of it.
Thought it would be a good time to throw my hat into the ring for info as well, considering I will hopefully
be seeing you all soon at OCS and flight school.

Applying for SNA (already selected in previous board for NFO, but got bumped to this board for SNA for a minor misunderstanding.
SNA is first choice though, so that's why I am waiting on this.)
Age: 22
ASTB: 60, 7, 8, 8
Triple major: Finance, Accounting, Business Management
GPA: 3.82
College: Pensacola Christian College (back to Pensacola it is)
Other info: Student body president at college, no waivers, LOR by president of my college

Best of luck to everyone! Of course, I am just as anxious to see the results as everyone else is. A watched pot never boils though.
So, in the mean time, keep hitting that appendix bravo and putting in the hard work for running/swimming and working out! It will all pay
off soon enough.

Watch out @Thanos ....Cap is slingin that cardio

My OR told me there’s no real form to follow with the run, just gotta do whatever possible to meet the time. So I’ll be pulling Cap slipstream moves at the end to cross the finish line, even if I drop afterwards ?

I REALLY hope the transition to planks is official. I know some in the Navy are concerned about its effects on pushups, but I don’t think it’ll be that bad if they allow 1-2 minutes of rest between events like usual. Also would help if the scores for the plank are more realistic than something crazy like 6 minutes, which serves no fitness purpose. Is there word on whether the upcoming OCS classes will be implementing them, or should I assume we’ll still have to do sit-ups?

My assumption would be that the plank would not be implemented until the next fiscal year, but of course that's just a guess
