By some thoughts, me saying "Violent extremist muslims are assholes" could be constrained as "endangering the troops"
Where would you draw that line, even if it were illegal?
I suspect there would be much more outrage over a flag burning than someone saying, "I hate extremist Christians who burn the Koran." (And yes, I know there certainly are flag burnings.) It just isn't the same thing. You can say that you hate the bear, but that's very different and far less dangerous than poking him with a sharp stick. This is insanity. It's provocation, pure and simple. You can argue about whether it should be provocation, and what the fact that it *is* provocation to violence says about those would would resort to that, but the fact remains that this will potentially get people killed. It will be used as propaganda against us and ours and as a recruiting tool to find more terrorists. it will make things worse, plain and simple. The violent, extremist imam's are salivating over this. They couldn't be happier because this makes every declaration that the U.S. is at war against Islam look all the more true. When you actions delight those guys, I think you have to stop and ask yourself just WTF you are doing.
So these potential Koran burners can stand on their supposed moral high ground because they do have very right to do this, or they can do the right thing and put their stick away and let the bear remain only as pissed off and dangerous as he already is.
