Does anyone know if the board looks at age as a contributing factor when making the selections? also what about prior AD time served (10years)?

On another note: I had my package on the AMDO board also and the results are out, the board convened 10 of FEB that's a bit over 2 weeks for results, assuming the boards are similar, we should get news in 2 weeks for SNA/NFO....

It can be a contributing factor, but not a primary factor, the biggest factor when it comes to age is will this person meet age requirements for commissioning.

It also depends on one's personal medical history. Me personally I never had any surgeries/broken bones and was never diagnosed for ADD/ADHD. People with such medical histories could have extra appointments with specialists. I for one had an irregular EKG and admitted I had a heart murmur at birth so I had to have a stress test (24 hr monitor of your heart with physical activity), an Echo and Cardiac MRI all of which came back negative.

I'm a little nervous about this aspect of OCS. I've never had any medical issues my whole life so never went to any doctors for pretty much anything except a cold once or twice and routine physicals for football. I don't even know what doctors I went to as a child and according to my mom it changed often.

Do I need to track these medical records down and bring them to OCS? I'm just concerned that if you need to bring Med Recs with you that I may not be able to find them all...

How does that all work?

No they will just use your MEPS medical.

Hello All,

I've not heard anything from my OR about whether or not the board has met, and am seeing a few different things in this thread. Is it a fact that the board met this Monday? If my package was submitted on Monday, would they still have seen my application? Does anyone know if they meet throughout the week, or only take applications that were in by this last Monday?

Thanks in advance for your responses - I haven't been able to find answers to these questions anywhere and perhaps no one knows.

Trx,
In my experience it usually takes few days for the packet to actually get down there for review. As for the board meeting, there won't be any solid evidence the board met until results are posted. Granted I may be entirely wrong.

The good news is the that there is a very good possibility the board met this week according to the grapevine

Awesome, thanks for your response. I'm also assuming that the consensus on when results will be released is within the next two weeks? Very exciting times if my package was able to just barely make this board!

Thanks

If your package was submitted Monday and the boards were actually held Monday, plan on waiting for the next board. Same thing happened to me in December.

Ahh, sorry to hear that happened to you in December - must have been a little disappointing. Hope this one works out for you!

On the bright side though, at least my package is submitted and complete, and hopefully there will be another board by April.
