looks like the nose wheel is at a 90. not the best angle for a landing. thats what they were saying.

The talking head says nose gear problem --- the plane evidently took off from Burbank and is landing @ LAX after dumping fuel ???

Also talking foaming the runway for landing .... interesting, since the Navy started to poo-poo foaming a long time ago. I waved a wheels-up landing one time and took the time to foam the landing area --- was later criticized for it from the Ready Room Commandos --- what is the Navy "foaming" policy these days .... ???

BTW, they "probably" got an unsafe "UP" indication after take-off ... just an educated guess.

Not a good news day for Jet Blue. They announced a loss for this quarter. Has the bloom gone off the flower? Maybe the balloon payment on their sweetheart deal with Airbus is coming due.

They are showing a freeze frame of the nosewheel right now and it looks to be at about 70 degs off center.

Navy doesn't foam much anymore. They did not foam for the C-2 gear up landing in my squadron last month.

Thanks Hoover ... that's what I thought.

The nosewheel on the A320 looks like it's cocked (can I say that on AW??) to one side, as already mentioned. Broken NW steering ??? Something obviously broke if they tried to raise the gear after T/O and got an unsafe and this MSNBC "visual" is the result.

Airbus prides themself in blaming the pilots for every accident the aircraft has ever had .... let's see if they can do it again ????

think they'll try to pull the gear back up and try to put it down?
No .... I do not think they would pull it up and land on the belly. Not a good idea in commercial aviation.. I'm not A320 qualed, but an educated guess would be get light to lower the landing speed ---- land it and hold the nose off as long as possible. Wanna bet the nose gear straightens out on landing ??? If not, they are going to be taking a hard right/left turn off the runway after touchdown.

Probably went to LAX because of RW lengths and better (?) Crash & Rescue ....
