ctm214 how did you find out? you called them? they called you?

Someone had a list from their recruiter. I asked him to look me up and he said I was Pro rec Yes. I'm still waiting for official confirmation from my recruiter, as is everyone else from NRD philly, unfortunately.

It could have been something in the background, such as drug use or minor criminal history, I have seen a few otherwise outstanding candidates get shot down because of that, or if they were close on HT/WT.

In general, not specific to this board, when we would add up the total number of AD applicants compared to those selected the rate was much lower than those that were not AD, the exception being IDC, IDC tends to have a better rate of AD selectees.
I told them about a minor in possession of alcohol from over 10 years ago just to be honest and it didn't hurt me

Those are actually my stats you're talking about... And I guess I could say that GPA doesn't always do a great job of defining a person's ability. Lehigh is also pretty rough on the Mech-E's. I've also had some bad luck with the math department... But luckily I don't think I'll need Laplace Transforms to fly a fighter jet.

Agreed, I've known plenty of guys that are good test takers and still manage to get C averages almost all the way through. You never know though, if the aircraft control system fails you could improvise with a Laplace transform or two. Or eject. I kid.

For those active folks who were NS this board, if you would like a copy of my complete package PM me your email and I will get it to you.

Another caveat, follow up with the CNRC folks on your package. Mine was submitted at the last minute due to changes (me making first etc) and I never received confirmation so followed up and they had never processed it. They allowed me to forward the email showing I had sent it (this was early July) and accepted it without a problem. I just had to show that I had the original email.

My CO statement was very weak I thought, I had written one and when he interviewed me he was basically like there is a lot of fancy wording in this. He is a Human Resource officer if I recall and stated he had sat many boards. When I got the complete package it was basically saying "BM1 has my strongest recommendation and will excel". A small paragraph which I thought was a knife through the heart of my package. He obviously knew what he was doing however.
