Haha, disagree all you like, but you'll never know why until you live it and meet a few awful officers!
Ha ha yo' self! I'm definitely disagreeing (all I like), and I am a prior & I LIVED IT... with a long and successful career behind me. I served in nine operational commands during my 22 years, and the very few 'bad' Officers I observed, tended to weed themselves out via the promotion system. Never observed, or heard that any particular commissioning source put out any higher % of 'bad' Os than another. I think you need a period of actual Officer experience before coming to a conclusion like that, it's a bit self-serving!

Congrats to everyone that has received good news thus far. Does anyone know if more good news will be distributed tomorrow, or did all of the Pro-Recs get the news today? Talked to my recruiter today and he said he has not received the results from the SWO board. I've seen good and bad news on this forum all day, I have to assume not all of the results are out yet. I'm dying of anticipation.

I talked to Stl NRD and was told that they hadn't gotten the results as of 4 cst. I would guess tomorrow everyone that hasn't heard today will hear tomorrow. It has been a roller coaster of a day waiting for the swo results. Someone earlier said only 1.5 pages of 14 pages of results were selected but that works out to 7% which seems exceedingly low. Congrats to everyone that got good news today.

My recruiter told me when he called me that the selection rate this time around was under 20%, big change from the last SWO board which was supposedly closer to 50. Hope you receive some good news tomorrow though!

Email works the same (thanks Al Gore :)) , NRC pushes send and it is rec'd at the NRD's, if the person on the distro list is out then the NRD will not know it is rec'd, or if the person on the distro list doesn't bother to forward it on then the OR's wont have it.

When I was active I would get the list sent to me and people would say NRD XXX hasn't rec'd the list, I would look on my email and see where that same NRD was sent the list the same as me, don't know why some NRD's do what they do but it isn't fair to those waiting when they see others getting the word on their application.

While some of the page are just names, several contain info such as paragraphs of "the following are XXXX" and other misc info, so a few pages of selections may be close to the percent that was stated.

Another sleepless night waiting to hear it seems :). Any reason for the big change in selection rates (if those number are correct)? Any info about the alleged 70-100 additional slots ?

They selected around 95 out of 400. Selection for SWO was less than 20%.
