June/ July/ Aug 2014 SNA & NFO Boards

You got Pro-N twice already?
No, I missed the first pilot board but do to a miscommunication I didn't find out afterward that my kit hadn't made it. So I thought I was a part of it and rode the emotional rollercoaster with everyone else. Then I was pro-N (SNA only) in July with 30% selection rates.

I'm retaking the ASTB in two days, to force a resubmission and by some miracle might have another shot at the SNA/SNFO board before I age out. Even though it is my second submission, it feels like my third.

(Yes I am aware there is only a very minor chance of SNA/SNFO happening for me, but I can still hope.)

People joining in, check this thread. The National Office posts some good info on there regarding timelines:

Okay, that's why it caught me by surprise because I saw that post by NOPO. However, since the official schedule says only "rolling" and no set date, I have my hopes & optimism going that our NOPO insider on airwarriors is wrong ;)

I'll let you know if the excitement was all for naught...

Yeah that is what the official schedule says but what I've picked up and learned over the past 5 months or so is that AW is going to have the most up to date information. You just have to learn who to trust as far as releases go and separate speculation from fact.

Well, you of anyone would be on the info like white on rice. Best of luck in your ASTB this week and the re-app. I'm entering pretty late too...so for all our sakes, hopefully they'll be a review before Oct

Weird about the strange news. Just heard from my OR today that "there was a late notification regarding the board and slated [me] as PRO-NO", then he went on to push all kinds of other programs: SWO, Intel, Supply. It sounded a little sketchy, but his word is all I can trust. I guess I'll be retaking the ASTB and resubmitting as soon as I can.

probably he was late, he probably didn't want to give bad news.

yes, suggesting people apply to designators that are harder to get in to than SNA sounds like a plan, how long has he been an OR/what rank is he?

Out of curiosity, is the school requirement for CWE 100% firm that applicants must have a degree from one of those schools, even though all other requirements are met?

It didn't used to be, but it sounds like now it is, they have missed goal before even though they had plenty of good people to choose from.

^^^^^ Am I the only one that gets excited when I see this???
Nah not just you. That is exciting. I'm glad we have an official rep being able to give information and be a source of accurate date data.

Tomorrow is the kit resubmission day, will probably be with my processor all day long putting everything together. Today is quick overview of everything, final statement tweaking and working on my reconsideration letter.

Checked in with my recruiter this morning, packet is officially "At PM." Now I can officially start being anxious for this next board, whenever it may be (please before 1Oct, please before 1Oct, ...)
