It should. Its all according to how much Arabic you can use. The Arabic will not hurt you by no means, especially going Intel.

I haven't heard yet. My OR said they should know by the end of the week who has made the list for the selection board.

This was something that confused me a little bit when I was first looking into OCS as well. Your recruiter makes sure you meet the minimums and guides you through gathering the information for your package (along with your processor). When your package goes to the boards, you are either professionally recommended (pro-rec'd) or non-select. If you are pro-rec'd you then finish off MEPS and PRT, then go through the clearance stuff. If all goes to plan, you will receive your final select and swear in.
It seems rare that people get pro-rec'd without a final select to follow.
Side note: this isn't really the thread to ask those questions...

Yes, you can. Things like not passing MEPS or the PRT could keep you from getting a final select. I don't know how often that happens, though.

ok, thanks guys, I was confused because i have already done MEPS my PRT and been interviewed and had all of my friends and neighbors interviewed for security clearance

Check with your OR. That's the safest bet. I also (again) thought that happened to me. Right around the time I was hoping to hear about the results of the January '08 IW boards, my roommates got calls about talking to someone about "a person they know with regards to security clearance". I got super excited!!! (but still hadn't heard results of the boards from my OR)
Then when they called back they found out it was about a neighbor that use to live in the house next to us, that none of us ever knew, not about me. And then the next week I got the news I was non-select. Rough time... hah.
