I was in Kappa Delta, and I held just about every position there was in the Sorority all four years. Kappa Delta is a recreational sorority if you will, like the one's you see portrayed in Legally Blonde, so it was fun, but when people see that, they see:
1. She works well with others( living with 100+ girls)
2. She is good at community relations ( lots of greek organized functions and social activities with community
3. Community Service is a requirement ( we worked with the Girl Scouts of America, Raised $$ for Children's Hospital of Virginia, and also for Ortho. Surgery)
4. She's an excellent leader among her Sorority and Greek Community

I think it's not what you say you have been a part of, but WHAT YOU CAN SHOW YOU MADE OUT OF IT

lots of girls in sororities ( and guys too) just join and drink and 'get around' if you will...as the old saying goes: it's not the cards that matter, it's the way you play them.

As a guy, I will honestly proclaim that I would be very happy to be in a sorority! ;) :D

*Side note: I never did greek life at my school. Although, my roommate and I got reserve grand champion at a greek life sponsored Gatorade Pong tournament. Hmm.. maybe I should have put that on my application...

We tried "Milk Pong" as a PC alternative to beer pong during Greek Week. VERY bad idea if your team goes on a run during the round robin. But mostly it was shitty beer (Natty Light, Keystone, Coors) beer pong in school. I've since "grown up" to only using Miller Lite. Call me classy if you will.

You classify Coors with the ranks of Natty? Nah, I always consider Bud/Miller/Coors in the same realm.

I'll play with anything except bud light. Way too foamy.

Ps. If someone is really bored, they should count up how many posts in this thread make mention of beer/alcohol. I think that would be a hilarious ratio.

Hey everyone.

Congratulations to all of the selects! I can imagine what it must be like to be relieved of the suspense. It sounds like I have a few more days of waiting to do, but here's hoping that I'll be able to join some of you.

Pro-rec'd for SNA BDCP! This month is amazing...at least for AW people. You can see my stats earlier in the month or in the April thread. Basically low GPA but lots of extra curricular and a 7/7/6 58. I'm pretty excited. Now for MEPS and PRT.

Alive and kicking...sort of.
Congrats everyone! Speedy, I agree that this month is looking good for AW, but it usually does as most who post and are active on here are the go-getters and more driven candidates than others just off the street. But here's hoping that the momentum carries over to us in June as well, lol...I'm heading into MEPS again tomorrow so I'm that much closer to BDCP-SNA pro-req as well...

just curious,
how many of you already have PRT and MEPS done?
I do, and I was hoping that meant that the NASIS will go faster to final select.

I did MEPS already but I've been waiting almost 2 months on a waiver for some acid reflux... hope it doesn't screw me up.

The PRT should be pretty quick to get it done with your recruiter- mine told me to come in next tuesday for it.

Some how I worked up to a 9 minute 1.5 mile, 90pu and 120su

Pro-rec'd INTEL!!!!!
No results here yet... apparently everything is still blank on my OR's computer. Congratulations to everyone who knows already!

We (awesomely) lived next door to a beer store. Coors was, for whatever reason, just as cheap at Natty/Stone. Flats of tall boy cans were the norm. Part of me misses that, other part of me doesn't. Oh well.
