I got a civilian job offer in the IC, so I'm now also up for the Reserves boards as well as Active. Would rather be active, but it's MAD competitive now, so I'm trying to cover all my bases. Here are my stats again.

-Strong Motivational Statement
Languages: Fluent in French, Can get by in Hindi-Urdu (Literate in the former), Can get by in Hebrew (literate) . . . also have an extensive background in dead Classical languages, which does, approximately, nothing.

Extras:

-Nominated/Awarded various academic and leadership awards from HS, College, and National Fraternity

SOOO nervous.

Is Strong Motivational Statment like a rating? Everyone puts that.

Meh, I was told by my recruiter and his CO that mine was especially good and something to be proud of, so I figured I'd put it in there too. Hopefully it makes up for my average ASTB scores.

My OR seems to think I will be fine for Supply, am now considering NFO as #1 choice.

Anyone know what the age limit is for NFO?

I'm 6'0", so my circumference value (CV) max is 22 - the same as my max bodyfat of 22%. My measurements starting out were 41 and 17, with the CV of 24...the past month it's been around 38 and 17, so CV of 21 and under the limit. However, MEPS says the BF is at 23% still and my recruiter 26% - with their measuremets both of 40 and 17. They act like they have a calculator to come up with the info, but going by the chart online it's pretty straight forward...however, both of them didn't measure straight across but had the tape further down my back, resulting in larger waist measurements.

So when my doc and nurse friends and family do it they all get the 21 CV, but since the Navy guys don't I'll just have to wait until I lose the weight...I don't think they can screw up gravity to easily, unless a scale is out of calibration.

do www.crossfitperformance.com with a paleo diet... you'll be at weight and dominating physical tests in a couple months no problem

do www.crossfitperformance.com with a paleo diet... you'll be at weight and dominating physical tests in a couple months no problem

Russ, I looked into the crossfit workout a month or more ago and wasn't for sure whether I could handle the intensity at that time. However, I'm in decent shape now and have been looking to kick it up a notch (or twelve), so it should be great for me to start it now. My only issue has been that when I do a strenuous workout I gain about a pound or two the following day, and when I don't workout I lose about a steady half-pound a day. I don't know if it's the result of muscle building, muscle storing more water to rebuild, etc. but my biggest concern was to get to my weight fast.

I've never heard of the paleo diet before, but it's pretty much what I've been eating. I've read up on a book called "Eat Right for your Blood Type" which breaks out certain things you should and shouldn't eat for Type A, B, AB and O blood types. I am Type O, which is decendent of the hunter-gatherers, so it's exactly what the paleo diet is. As I tell others (and long before Wendy's picked it up for their commercials) "I'm a Meataterian - it's a personal choice" lol.

BTW I hit my target weight of 196 over the weekend, so as long as I can lose a pound or two more to stay under it and get into MEPS by the end of the month I should be in this next board.....

I do Crossfit, Great stuff!!! 3...2...1 Puke!!! On a real note, I have been doing Crossfit for about 2 months now and the gains in random activities is crazy. If you need more running you can to crossfitendurance on top of the Workout of the day (WOD). If you have any questions about the workouts, let me know.
