Seeing some of you guys swearing in already is making me even more anxious for my final select letter. I just hope I'm not one of the unlucky ones that has to wait months...

Just keep on your OR about what the status is. Whenever I sent papers to my OR I would end the email with something along the lines of "What are we waiting on next?"

And if my OR didn't respond back to the email (which was rare, my OR rocks!), I would wait a week, and send a follow up email to make sure my OR received the documents I attached (with no hidden agenda to re-ask my what is next question of course )

Spoke to my recruiter and apparently I'm missing some medical record that I don't know anything about. Grrrrrr. Once that is in (whatever the hell it is), my final select is ready!

pretty low key yesterday. read and signed a bunch of forms and turned my life and social security # into the hands of my Commander in Chief. took care of all that and raised my right hand and repeated after my OR. shook his hand and called him sir and became a sailor in the united states navy. pretty awesome day and worth everything. the train ride down the hudson from albany was pretty cool and i love the fact that i got in right before the 4th of july. couldnt have thought of a better way to script it.

call usaa next week and get my accounts all transfered and set up. then i should be ready to roll and just train and memorize till jan 24.

How long does the final medical approval take? I did MEPS on Tuesday and heard that some national board needs to review my file first.

I'm sworn in now and I signed my contract today. I'm all set to go for the Sept. 27 class. Hopefully you guys waiting still get word soon. Its really starting to feel real now that I have a date and the paperwork is done.

Just got the news today, my final select came in and my date is set for Oct. 18th. Waiting for the actual letter to be able to swear in. Finally!

hey guys - quick question - did your PRT have to be done for your Final Select Letter to come through? thats the last thing that I think needs to be done ... ive been to meps, have a secret clearance .... my recruiter says we're not waiting on the PRT for the final select letter. she isn't holding a PRT until august so will that push my ocs date a month later?

oh - read some previous posts ... but anyone get final select without having done the PRT?

I got MEPS and PRT done in early May, then they made me get a spirometry test in June to make sure I don't have asthma. Passed that, so I'm pretty sure that I'm just waiting on my clearance to go through because my friends have been telling me when they get calls from USDPM folk lately.

There is a paper that needs to be submitted prior to your final select that tells your PRT scores.
