I am about in your boat. I was ready to get my package off in Feb. I am prior service so I have to wait for my service record to get back to my OR. It has been almost 3 months and yet to get that SR back.

I've settled with the fact my application got bounced back to my OR last week from the April boards due to some missing information. I am applying for SNA NFO with the following stats:

One year corporate management/ investment banking experience (post college)
College GPA: 3.2
ASTB: 6 / 7 / 6- OAR 49
Private Pilot License: 50 Hours
Three years in a fraternity, including positions as the President and Controller
Worked as an electrical engineer during college to pay for beer
Hobbies: motorcycles, scuba diving and skydiving

LORS: 1 from an Electrical Engineer, 1 From the dean of greek life at my college, 1 from my adviser when I was president of the frat board, 1 From another adviser, and 1 from a good friend/ lawyer.

That's pretty close to mine. Same age. I got a 7/7/6 58 but my GPA is a bit lower. Finally coming to grips with the fact that I didn't make the April boards. I guess at the best we have about 3 weeks to wait, at the worst 6. I'm just glad I have a job to keep busy with.
Do you guys think the pilots license thing helps? I've got my rotorcraft CFI/CFII. Good luck all.

I would hope the license helps... I did it to boost my package. If I don't get in it will be nice to have to mess around, but that's 10 grand I threw down for the sake of getting into the Navy as a SNA.

I was speaking to a S3 pilot today that just came back after they retired his jet a couple weeks back, and he was saying that there is a shortage of pilots this month and they want to push a lot into OCS as soon as they can. Let's hope for the best.

Hey! Some pretty good looking stats all around. Lots of flight time this month. We're all the suckers that had to pay to get rated! Oh well, hope it helps.

My package did get submitted after all! It was a crazy rush to get it all done, but it's done. So hopefully it'll be seen at this board... time to start the waiting game and pray to the board gods.
