Nice. Do you know how long it took till your package was pro-boarded? Mine was sent out today.

I am not sure. I got hosed... My packet was bounced back because of a silly discrepancy and then was re submitted. If I recall, it took a little over a week the first time.

May I ask what it got kicked back for? Thanks for the info!

WOW!
Looks good brother, I wouldn't worry too much about it, my OR stated they lowered the requirements this year to make up for not meeting the quota last year. Just make you motivational statement soild and try to get some letters of recommendation from people in the gov. with high position (police, fire dept. etc.). It seems you got a solid chance.

Letters from employers, professors and coaches out weigh LORs from high governing people cause they want LORs from people that know you. I got letters from all employers in last three years my soccer coach, professor, director of the humane society that I volunteered at and a veterinarian I shadowed and player organized soccer with.

I do not mean any of this to come off as mean, but you copied this directly from your own independent thread where you already asked your chances. The repetition is understandable as you try to seek knowledge about your odds, but as one person already suggested on your independent forum, try searching and reading through other threads to find people with similar scores/backgrounds. This thread is to cover the rolling boards and information related to them. While it can be used as a way to compare packages, a simple GPA and ASTB is more than sufficient. If you had taken the time to read this thread you'd have seen that there are many people with similar scores and GPAs that have recently been selected. Vandyman even took the time to catalog all the scores making it easy to view. This enormous post gives us a great background, but ultimately most of us have no true insight into what boards like/dislike or whether your package makes you a qualified candidate. If you really want to know whether your package will be sufficient go ask your OR.

That being said good luck with your upcoming submission to the rolling/July board. I'd say your numbers alone, ignoring the rest of your resume, make you competitive with the rest of the people who have been following and contributing to this thread.

The requirements weren't lowered, but those being selected have lower average scores.

The board wants letters from people that have seen you actually perform, not from people that have met you for 30 minutes.

I just got picked up for SNA/SNFO with a 3.15 in chemistry and ASTB of 60 6/5/6. You seem to have a strong package than I did and I was just pro-rec'ed 2 days ago. Your mileage may vary, but good luck!

I would agree. Unless one of those high up people can say something along the lines of "while John Doe volunteered in my office from 2010 through 2013 I was able to directly observe him in the performance of his duties..." etc etc it won't have the same punch as just a supervisor who can directly attest to your work ethic etc....It's not all about the title.

I looked for a place to delete my post (when I thought that this particular discussion wasnt appropriate). Alas, I could not find it. That is why, in my other post, the first line reads "Sorry for the double post".

But I can say at times it feels obligated to get letters from high ranking officials when other applicants do and of course your competiting with them. But I just stuck to personal people who know me well and are influential in the community.
