Well to me getting PRK would be the safer bet if your gonna be a pilot or NFO. Mainly because what happens if you glasses fall off and your lens break plus glasses are a pain. I want to be a helicopter pilot, can they fly with glasses or are glasses only for NFOs?

If your scrip is -3.00, you're WAY outside the limit for pilot unless you get PRK. Remember, notwithstanding the SCL waiver (which the grapevine says is going away), the uncorrected limit for pilots is 20/40 (correctable to 20/20).

Other things to consider about PRK, is that you should wait until your prescription levels off. That's probably not going to happen until you're about to graduate college, or for some people, even later.
