I heard classes at OCS were issued swords to replace rifles, and that there will no longer be rifle drills. Anyone care to confirm?

I would have thought that was the whole point. No?AdventureJen said:And if they're issuing swords instead of rifles, you don't have to attempt to assemble your rifle in 3 seconds while being yelled at during inspection.
AdventureJen said:I heard they're still doing drill, but instead of an umteen pound rifle, you get a sword. Sorry if that wasn't clear. And if they're issuing swords instead of rifles, you don't have to attempt to assemble your rifle in 3 seconds while being yelled at during inspection. There's not a whole lot of removable parts on a sword.
