Hello All, I’m looking at applying for MCWO. I took the OAR the second time and had a 49. The required score is 50.
Stats
GPA 4.0 MS Cybesecurity.
Certs: SEC+, CCNA, CISM

Would you advise I apply for the waiver or retake the test. I’ll appreciate any advise. TIA
I'm not an expert or anything, but I have seen many posts like this, just take this with a grain of salt. Most of the time people will tell you to shoot your shot since your GPA is good, and you have already taken the OAR twice, there's only one more chance left. And if it doesn't work, study hard with the resources we have like the GT ASTB Resources google drive and retake. (The answer may vary depending on if you are pushing the age limit)

I personally applied for the waiver and was picked up CWO and MCWO. I took the approach of apply, let them tell me no, take the feedback and make it better. But that was due to the fact that I did not have time to re-take it again before I had to turn it in and was on my second try. Maybe ask your recruiter.

How long does it take for a waiver to be approved?

Hi yall, I'm applying for the December board for MCWO and I'm wondering if I would be competitive.
OAR: 51
GPA: 3.39
Degree: BS Technology and Information management (its basically computer science + information systems + econ at UC santa cruz )
Age: 22

I was just informed that I was at this INTEL board but I was not selected. My stats were GPA approximately 3.3 and OAR score 51, bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice. I'm shell-shocked because even with 26/51 selected, I ended up in the "bad batch" even with my intelligence and quality references. Oh well. I can't win everything, right?
You typically want to have above a 3.5 GPA and 55+ OAR to be competitive for Intel. You can get picked up with less, but I wouldn’t expect it.

If you want to go Intel I’d recommend studying for the OAR and shooting for at least at 60 to help off set your lowish GPA. Even then it might still be a coin flip. Intel can be quite competitive and you’re going up against people with 4.0s and high 3 GPAs.

In regards to preferred it essentially means required. Historically 90% will have tech degrees, did you take the calc and calc based physics series classes

CW and IW are the same designator, IW changed their name to CW years ago.

Any waiver hurts your chances as they only accept people with waivers in limited numbers.
How does it look if you did calc I and calc two in a non-stem (economics) major? Saw that molkshake was in a similar spot but he was a STEM (CS) major so I'm curious how it looks for my situation.
