My security interview started last week, my friends have told me they had an investigator reach out to them. I know the investigation has to be started, but how long have others had to wait from the investigation opening til an actual FS letter was signed. Does 3-5 weeks sound about right?

I hope you guys get your FS letters soon; I know how it feels to wait. I am deployed with not too much port time so it seemed like forever for me.

Got my FS today - still don't know when I'm headed to OCS, but I sign enlistment docs on Thursday so I'll probably at least have an idea by then. Hope to see some of you soon!

A FS letter is supposed to have the date on it, it should say blah blah blah going to OCS designator XXXXX going to OCS XXXXXX

I have had my interview for my clearance this week, can anyone chime in on how much longer I should expect to wait til I receive my FS letter? I was pro rec'd 7 weeks ago......is this normal wait time?

I'm surprised you haven't yet. I haven't had my clearance interview, but I got a call from my recruiter last week and went in to sign enlistment docs and swear in. She says I'll have an OCS date and an official letter within the week.

It really depends on when they can get you to OCS, if it isn't until say June, then often they will wait to issue a FS letter until a few months prior.

I got word that my FS letter is in the system and just needs signatures. Recruiter said I should have word on my OCS date soon. Anyone going to OCS for Intel?

I was pro-recd INTEL in SEPT. My clearance investigation has started, but still no word as to my OCS ship date (my recruiter guessed FEB) and I still do not have my FS yet. This stuff is taking FOREVER.

I was selected as a civilian and it appears you were as well......so it would be great to know when you finally get your FS, so that I can get on my recruiter.

Intel is a small community, I have seen people wait significant amounts of time to go to OCS, in general if you put your date available as ASAP then the longer you wait is an indication on how full they are for the current FY.
