the finale included a private contract aggressor F-5!
DoD decided to jam me and a myriad of other planes' GPSesses.
Former Swiss AF F-5 - the owner is a former VMFT-401 who bought the aircraft, restored it, brought it up to specs and dies contract aggressor work for AF. The pilot/owner actually learned to fly here in a J3 Cub and donated the performance to "pay it forward".So is it a two-seat F-5 or a T-38? Not trying to be a smart ass...generally curious.
Fondle before installation?Handle like eggs
MT prop?
Are ADFs ever used these days? Back in the 80s I used it to listen to Indians games. After 13+ hours over the last two days, this screen has been my new best friend. It saved me a decent amount of time today, even when DoD decided to jam me and a myriad of other planes' GPSesses.
You may find a few ADF's still installed but it is obsolete equipment in todays National Airspace System. They are great to monitor the 1000 watt AM radio stations on long flightsAre ADFs ever used these days? Back in the 80s I used it to listen to Indians games.
