Yea.. Nothing like rolling into the groove and seeing like 50 people by the shack with cameras. My scan quickly went from meatball, lineup, aoa to meatball, photographers and then finished with just the photographers. Not my greatest pass.

I don't think there'd be much pressure there... you already disappoint her every night.
Funny you guys are going in this direction .... as that was de rigueur behavior in the ol' days when waving at the field -- if it wasn't a wife or two providing a derrièrefor hubby to see if he could maintain 'focus' -- it was one of the LSO's offering up a ham.

When I was serving my time as the COMNAVAIRESFOR A-4 NATOPS Evaluator, I was also the Ops O for COMFLELOGSUPWING (back when the reserve A-4's were considered support squadrons) at NAS Dallas. I was giving a NATOPS check to the NATOPS Officer of VFC-12 who had flown into Dallas for the check. We were doing touch and go's on rwy 35 and as we were rolling onto final, I noticed the wing commander's corvette parked close to the approach end on the perimeter road. As we crossed the numbers, there was CAPT M. himself, standing next to his car, trow dropped to his ankles, bending over, mooning us. Wish I would have had my camera.
AND ALL OF THE ABOVE WHICH PALES IN COMPARISON .... to the antics of one of my former B/N's .... a.k.a. a Baptist Preacher's kid from Texas and obviously, something of a creative pervert & contortionist:
1. Full frontal nudity to a Rooskie Badger over the Sea of Japan ...
2. Full pressed ham to a USN P-3 crew in the vicinity of Okinawa/Naha ...
3. As an encore, another full pressed ham to a Rooskie AGI in the SoChina Sea, complete w/ Rooskie chicks sunbathing topless on the upper deck ... I think they wanted to defect after the 'experience' of American sunshine ...
And since the war was over ... all I had to do was drive him from 'full exposure' to 'next exposure' ...

Very good friends with CAG-17 paddles, traded some emails yesterday. They all did low approaches. He said it was pretty cool for the first 25 or so, but after a few hours the novelty had worn off and, well, it was just a bunch of airplanes doing low approaches.
