Rolling Boards/ June 2013 Board

Well, the supply board was today...that was on my list and I'm just as excited to get those results. Last I heard my package was at the Supply board so it will get looked at...if anyone hears anything let me know!.....fingers crossed :D

Can you post a link or .doc of where you read this please?
I was at the OR's office and he was looking for the message stating that there was a July board, when he found it the message also stated what I posted earlier. I sure all OR's have it, but I didnt get a copy.

Good luck! Is that your first choice?

NFO is my first...although my intent is to be a Naval officer...so being selected for supply would be awesome :D and then i would only be waiting to see if I have a choice rather than IF Ill be selected at all...my degree compliments supply and my professional and Navy experience leans toward NFO...either way id be stoked!

I would say I am in the same boat. Overall I want to be a Naval Officer, have a career and provide for my family even if not around all the time.

Goodness gracious!! WHAT is up with these high selection rates??? I find it hard to believe that everyone they're selecting is getting turned down at the flight physical at OCS... am I wrong? This is just....WOW

This came up last week when I was talking to a friend at my old NRD, it isn't so much people getting turned down at OCS but those declining after being selected (large number) and those declining after being selected who are found NPQ for aviation by N3M.

Ouch, I bet that's going well for filling up end of FY 13. I don't envy the boards making the selections having continuing to do so after NPQs and declines.

I think it is safe to say that all my prescreen paperwork is done with MEPS. N3M system says my paperwork is at the Program Manager, not entirely sure what that is but at least it's better than 3 weeks ago.

What do you mean? Please explain.

Basically it means the boards have to keep making selections, which is good because the next guy in line gets his/her application looked at. However the downside would seem that board members would get frustrated because people are declining.

FY13 is in the books, if a person doesn't have a FS letter now (unless the NRD has notified someone) it is remote a person would make it into the June 23rd class.

What is your personal opinion on the outlook for FY 14 needs and selection compared the last few boards?

Makes sense 8-10 year commitment can be scary for some.
