PRO REC SNA!
You thought about pledging an ANG unit? I am while doing the Navy app process as well.

I had considered that. Mainly, I want to be a Naval Aviator. Due to my age, I essentially have time for three tries. I'm going to start applying for a Marine and Navy slot on my second and third tries. My academics and test scores are a lot more competitive in the Marine group, I just need to continue working on my PFT.

Side Note: Looking at the stats for the other applicants, this board seems to have significantly stronger applicants than I've seen... Could just be cause I'm nervous since I'm actually on this board...

That is true. I think you tend to pay a little more attention to the board that your package is being submitted to. It seems to me like everyone on here is pretty consistent with a good GPA and good scores. Makes sense though, pretty much everyone on here has done his/her homework. I know there are a few exceptions and there are every month with extremely high scores. People that make the rest of us look bad haha :p

September 08 Selection Board

Hey all,

I finally got my BDCP app. squared away and ready for the Sept. board and I thought I could start a thread for some discussion while we play the waiting game.

Oh and just a little advice for you future BDCP applicants: make sure to have your OFFICIAL SAT scores handy. If you don't make sure to get them sent to you pronto. It took me 6 weeks to get mine:icon_rage!

Well that's all I have for now and anyone else that is applying in Sept. please post so we can suffer the anticipation together.

Don't make the wait worse than it actually is, try and keep your mind away from it and the time will go much quicker, good luck to you.
