I retook the ASTB this afternoon. I scored a 6/6/6 and a 57 OAR. My recruiter is telling me to wait a month until the new fiscal year starts to reapply (October), because he thinks there will be more slots then.

September 09 Boards

Hopefully I will be on the September Board:

Applying SNA only
27/M
Currently Active Duty with 9 years service (Nuke ET submarines)
ASTB: 7/8/7 57
Last PFA 9:47 Run, 120 situps, 84 pushups
Graduated Thomas Edison State College 3.643 GPA BS in Applied Science and Technologies
Evals EP/P/EP/P/MP/MP/MP
My interviews were with O-5,O-4, and 2 O-3 P-3 Pilots and all were 10s.
I completed ground school and passed the FAA written towards my private pilots liscence.

I had to take the ASTB all three times to get my score even close to that. I studied with any online references and practice books I could find. Good luck to all. Remember sometimes "luck" is when opportunity is met with preparation.

Do the boards have new slots starting in October, the beginning of the fiscal year, or around July, when they'll send future officers off to graduate in the new fiscal year?
