For all you dudes wondering, the boards have already started accepting applicants for the next fiscal year, I'm a Feb OCS date and here it is only the end of August and I'm in already...Listen to what your recruiter says if you want to but I kinda did my research and found out different and got in...

Good sir, what type of research is that, and how might one go about finding out? My app was submitted by my OR about 3 weeks ago, so is it possible they're looking at me now?

Are you all going through NRD Jax? If so, I'm sure you've worked with him, but Master Chief Charest is awesome, he's helped my package through the hoops (especially all the prior service ones!).

September Boards Full!?

So heres the story, I've been told by my officer recruit, a gentlemen and a scholar, that the September boards have been filled. I was pushing for a last minute packet drop off before the first of September. Didnt work out for me. I was told that there may or may not be a board in October and no boards meet in December, therefore my only hope would be to wait for a board early next year 2010. Is there anybody out there who has heard similar and can shun some light on this situation? How do the aviator spots work with each fiscal year as far as number of spots?

Im aiming for SNA and was told September board is no longer accepting packages as of yesterday. there may or may not be an October board depending on how the fiscal year is looking in terms of number of pro recieved personnel and the Navy's goal for the year.

In other terms pray and have faith in an October and November board if your going SNA,,,if not no worries...spots will open up, just gotta be patient

Wow, and here I am hoping to get PRO-REC'd for SNA and I'm dumped with bad news LOL. First off, my scores compared to the other applicants here - you guys slaughtered me. I got a 5/6/5 and a 48 for my first time taking it. The second shovel of bad news was that I am submitting my package for the October review and now rumor has it that there isn't a board at all... so sad.

pending Navy's needs, if they fill their spots for the fiscal year they close the boards, as of right now idk for sure if there is an October board, hell most OR's dont know until they get an email from higher up.

pray for the best and push forward, as far as those scores, im in the same ball park as you, and im willing to bet were not the only ones, perciever and push forward

I'm just looking for some clarification, are all the spots for SNA taken, or just those last minute-ing their app? I missed the August boards by a day for MEPS, then had my app submitted by August 3rd. Is my app going to be considered, or how is this "filled" situation being determined?
