im AD army, any knowledge with how the process works for me? Do I need to be out processed by my ocs date or is it like army schools where I’ll go TDY then after OCS come back to army and out process everything before headed to pcola?
That varies by class team. Ive seen priors take it and in my case, my DI wouldn't let me or the other prior Marine take it. We ended up helping the commander of troops while the DI worked with the platoon.Who are guide and pc during the drill comp?
Thank you, good to go.That varies by class team. Ive seen priors take it and in my case, my DI wouldn't let me or the other prior Marine take it. We ended up helping the commander of troops while the DI worked with the platoon.
You'll need a conditional release. I was AD Army and found it was easier to ETS then apply but I also didn't have much time left on my contract.im AD army, any knowledge with how the process works for me? Yeah I have my conditional release. I had to have it to apply, was just wondering if anyone else did the process of transitioning after selected. Recruiter said my s1 would know what I needed to do and my s1 said they don’t have a clue lol. You'll need a conditional release. Ohhh okay, didn't realize you were past the application part. Congrats on the selection but I've got no insight to offer on that side.Yeah I have my conditional release. No worries, haven’t found someone who has been down this route yet. I’ll figure it out one way or another lol.Ohhh okay, didn't realize you were past the application part. Congrats on the selection but I've got no insight to offer on that side.
I wasn't Army, but it was hard for me and a friend of mine just found out he can't check out as early as he had hoped.Yeah I have my conditional release. Thanks I’ll reach out to separations!I wasn't Army, but it was hard for me and a friend of mine just found out he can't check out as early as he had hoped.
Try to get into contact with your separations branch to see from them exactly what you need to do to change your EAS. From there you'll need to find out about TRS (I had to do it, but a friend doesnt) and once that was complete and I got my FINSEL. HQMC changed my EAS. The Friday before OCS you'll sign the paperwork with your recruiter then head up to Road Island to check in.
Guys how does spouse housing allowance work during OCS?
While I’m there I just want to make sure my wife will have some help and I’m curious if it will be direct deposited to her or mailed or something since I won’t have internet access.
You'll have a new seabag and garment bag going home with you. Anything you don't want or can't fit, you can donate to the next classes.Another question, I understand we’ll be bringing a lot back with us after OCS so it’s recommended to bring extra suitcases but are we able to store these suitcases?
I don’t want to bring extra and they tell me there’s no where to put them.
