There's a lot to unpack here...

Why didn't you submit an OCS package when you were going through the initial recruitment process?

If a recruiter "convinced" you to enlist first as a better means to go officer... I'm sorry but you got duped. If you personally chose to go enlisted because you either (1) wanted to join sooner or (2) personally felt it would help you odds going officer... I'm sorry but you played yourself here.

I agree with @Jacksa71 that 10+ years TIS will be too late, but it's going to be a bit of while getting qualified + learning your enlisted job + earning good evaluations before your chain of command will truly endorse you going officer.
Thank you for the answer!
I could not join as an officer due to
1. I didn't have a college degree
2. I was not a citizen of the USA.

First I will +1 on what @FormerRecruitingGuru said.

When you say supervisor are you saying a PO1, CPO, or other?

You have a lot of info to gather, maybe your supervisor has some inside info about the CO? I have know and heard of DH's and CO's that would not recommend a person for OCS unless they are fully qualified in their job and have their warfare device.

The other thing is look at the PA and then if your only push back is that you don't have 10 years show them that you were using the PA as a checklist to make sure you were qualified and that the TIS limit is 12 years.
Thank you for the advice! Yes he is PO1 my lpo.

Definitely not true, don’t disregard you supervisor thou. work hard in your job while continuing to build your package. Once you complete It, route it up to your CO. Your CO is the only person that can approve or deny it. Make it known in your CDB that this is what you want to do and ask for advice on how to get there. Know that you will be doing most of the work by yourself. I was lucky to have a buddy (an E-5) at the time to hook me up with his previous COs which are Captains now and then I had my previous DH which made commander as my interviewers. I had no problem with getting interviews but the higher the rank the better. Use your connections or get a mentor for the interview portion and overall package review. Talk with older CWOs/LDOs for their packages as they used the same application form than the newer ones within the last 4yrs.

Also, you don’t want to wait until 10 years in. You’ll be over the time-in-service requirement. Look at the PA, make it known that the earlier the better it is for you in getting picked up.I have seen dudes with under 2 years get accepted.

I applied at my 11 year mark which I regret. There was 3 jobs that I can apply for without a waiver because I was over 8 TIS. Every other job I would need a waiver for TIS which would have been harder to accepted with. Most would only accepted waivers no more than 10 yr TIS. If you have to wait or get deny, continue to push forward with working hard and being the best. I did all the work and received help from my chain and got denied from the OIC. Went to the next command and the CO (which was a Captain at a squadron) approved it immediately.

Stats: E-6, 12 TIS(now), GPA 3.0, ASTB 51 5’s, Pro Rec: Y SNFO.
Thank you so much for the advice! I contacted ESO in my command, he is helping me out with the package now.

Depending where your past citizenship was that could be an issue when going for Intel or other IWC fields, that is something else for you to look into.

oh yes! I already talked to security manager in my command, we had no issue with initiating the standard form 86 (top secret clearance), and my past citizenship is South Korea.

Could I get my package in for the March/April board? My recruiter hasn’t been super direct with me but so far I haven’t even scheduled MEPS yet. All I have done is taken my astb and sent some preliminary documents. I keep pestering him so schedule me for MEPS too. I think I’m gonna need a waiver. I am not opposed to waiting for the June board but I just am curious since that will affect me looking at other jobs in the interim. I also know this is an “ask your recruiter” conversation but he is kinda difficult to get ahold of. My first recruiter straight up ghosted me when she got out of the military so I kinda had to restart the process and it’s now nearing a year and I wanna get it moving.

Are you speaking to an Enlisted Office Recruiter or a Navy Officer Recruiting Advisor? If not an Officer Advisor, I would do some research to find which advisors are closest to you in your NRD jurisdiction. Could be a bit out of the ways when coming to your wet ink documents and citizenship document scans. You should be able to expedite a package in less than a month, only thing that can really hold you back is any additional info MEPS requests.

What makes you thinks you will need a waiver? If you think you need one do you have your medical documents ready to go? MEPS will require those.

I am guessing you didn't mean to make the last line sound the way it did, but of course she ghosted you when she left the military, that was no longer her job anymore.

There are "Officer Recruiters" some are enlisted and some are Ensigns to LCDR's, in general Officer Recruiters that are CPO/SCPO can be better to work with as they have longer tours than officers so you don't have the issue of an OR leaving and getting shifted to another OR, the best CPO/SCPO's work hand in hand with an Officer to ensure all bases are covered. I might catch hell from @FormerRecruitingGuru on that last statement lol.

Unless you have a non-medical waiver based on what you have posted before you are looking at an immediate selection decision.

ROTC isn’t a grad program.
I would do afrotc, I would just continue w a 3 masters program at my current school I have already talked with their detachment and they said that I would be able to do it. They don’t even have an nrotc detetchment and the crosstown is way too far to make it work. Not the ideal but I’d be ok with it and I probably would get a masters after the military anyways

I could totally be wrong, but I thought I read that any medical waiver bars you from immediate selection. I will have to get a waiver because when I was 19 I was put on adderall. At the time I was living with a very abusive parent and was at home 24/7 bc of Covid lockdown so that was a recipe for attention problems haha. I’ll have letters from my therapist and prescribing doctor explaining the situation and it’s been well over a year since my last prescription (and my grades are significantly higher than when I was on it). I’m hoping that is enough to get a waiver. (I realize this is way more info than you asked for lol). Also for pilot I need a waiver for my astigmatism but I’m more than happy with NFO or pilot.

The board doesn't deal with medical issues only non medical waivers, if you are qualified for SNA or SNFO medically that is all the board knows, and they only know that because you can only go to that board if you are medically qualified.
