sTUPID qUESTIONS aBOUT ocs

If its really cold (ice/snow on the ground), you will run indoors in the gym/drill hall. Personally I'd rather run 2 miles outside in the cold rather than running many small circles indoors.

Agreed... times two.

And just to update... 9:45 run, 90 SU, 72 PU. Woot. I'm kinda in shock =D

I blame the heat for my crappy performance earlier.

They don't make you run in the middle of the day often at OCS either right?

You only run in the morning. They have a wide variety of other exercises to keep you busy throughout the day. :D

You live in a cave :P?

Wash khakis ---> NWU

so they're wearing this at OCS now?

Yeah...I am wearing them now. They suck because they are hot and the boots friggen hurt like hell, and they are heavy. So when you are doing 6inches and 90 degree abs...its going to suck

are the boots the same as flight boots? my flight boots are actually comfortable, much more so than the black shoes we wore in the wash khakis.

Um... ya my black boots aren't exactly "comfortable". Better than black shoes? Ya, definitely. But the black boots suck. They sucked during flight school, they sucked at SERE and they suck now. I can't wait until they get the new shipment of brown bellvilles in so I can toss these fucking things out.

Not to change the subject, but during morning PT sessions, are candidates allowed to get out in front of the platton and call cadence while running? Also, when drilling, is there the same opportunity to lead the class in drill?

Yes candidates are often encouraged to call cadence (at least my class was in later weeks) and yes you can be a "drill body" who will be the "go-to" guy for the can't-get-right's in your class who are marching completely out of step and have two left feet.
