Supply Board 01 March 2021

Does anyone have an update on this board meeting? Would be nice to be kept in the loop since I got pushed for SWO so this would be the board I hear back from first. Also, Supply has been growing on me the last couple weeks and I would put it on par with SWO, even though I had it listed as a second option

The board was held on March 01, results should be posted roughly 5-7 weeks after convene date.

Hello everyone! I am back for this board. I wish all of you the best of luck.

2nd Attempt
Degree: BSB Supply Chain Management
OAR: 49
GPA: 3.13
Dual-Processing: Yes
Occupation: Supplier Operations Specialist for American Honda Motors

A few questions for this board. My friend who is currently in Newport at Supply Corps School said that the Navy is in high demand for more Suppos. Is that still true? Does anyone know how many openings there are for this board? As a civilian, I am unfamiliar to the selection process. Does anyone know how many applicants tend to get picked up per board on average?

My buddy who is in Newport said that is what he did when he put in his 2nd application, he then got picked up for the program. I took the OAR a second time after studying and unfortunately got the same score of 49. I am doing whatever I can to help out my application this time around.

What is dual processing

Dual processing means you take the oath of enlistment and have an official report date at Great Lakes. Its a differentiator for applications and shows the staff at the board that your degree of motivation to join the Navy is strong. Its not a guarantee that the person who dual-processes will get picked up for OCS but I have heard from several individuals that it weighs positively when your application is reviewed. The report date for enlistment is set far beyond the board date and the anticipated time for selection that way it gives the applicant a shot at their OCS attempt. The enlistment contract to my knowledge is nullified and voided if a contract for OCS is tendered to the applicant.

If anyone knows more about the program or sees something that I did not state correctly please correct me because I don't want to relay any incorrect data to the other applicants.

What rate did you sign as for your enlistment?

gotcha that sounds similar to the conditional release I had to do for my application, if you get picked up it lets you cancel your current contract agreement.

aren't you obligated to enlist if you don't get picked up for officer though? is that something you actually want to do?

On the ASVAB I got a 93 and I selected STS.

I did STS because I always wanted to get my dolphins. Hopefully, if I get picked up for OCS and once I complete Supply Corps School I get an opportunity to be on a boomer before the Ohio's are retired out of the fleet since I am from Ohio.

Oh, a side note: the staff said OCS applicants who dual process cannot select a rate that is Nuke affiliated because it conflicts with their application.

I always wanted to be in the Navy. When I started college, I didn't know if it was my thing and I almost went straight in as enlisted but I pushed through and got my degree. If I don't get selected for OCS I won't be disappointed I'll apply to the next board and request my report date to be pushed out.

I was on a Boomer when I was active, I'm shooting to be a Sub supply officer as well to go back to the platform I enjoyed. Depending on the command climate submarines is a great place in my experience
