From the look of it, if you're active duty and didn't get word from your chain of command today, it most likely means you didn't get selected. Right now I am hoping for the best but expecting the worst.

Welp, Mr. Celestin just informed me I was Pro-Rec N. Guess I gotta wait for the Intel and IP boards now.

Considering your degree, your OAR score and GPA, I wouldn’t be surprised if they passed on you with the thought that you’ll be picked up for IP here in April since that was your first choice. Still probably isn’t a good feeling, sorry man.

If not that, the only other thing I could think of is that he has almost 10 years service already (unlikely IMO) or possible waivers we don’t know about. Still sucks to hear PROREC N

See I dont see it that way because why not pick me then take an alternate if selected for IP? Gives me far less hope. But I'm still going for it.

Idk much on how military boards select but that’s what they do in college. If you’re an absolute academic stud and apply to Ivy leagues and also apply to your average state college, the state college will deny you acceptance despite being way over qualified because they know you’re only applying as a safety school so granting that person admission is taking it away from someone else who can’t get in anywhere better
