The end of NATO?

Spekkio

He bowls overhand.
It is not about what WE want, it is about what Ukraine wants. Their democratically elected leadership has decided to keep fighting and the populace continues to support it. We should continue to support their choice to keep fighting and not reward a shitbag dictator who wants nothing less than destroy Ukraine.
It becomes about what we want when we're funding and supplying a good portion of the war effort. Doubly so when the defense-industrial complex shoots flares that we are running dangerously low on munitions and they can't manufacture the weapons we are expending in Ukraine until 5 years from now.

It doesn't matter if it was Trump or Harris, the same advisors would be saying the same thing and the President would attempt to end the war sooner than later, because the alternative is telling Ukraine "good luck, you're on your own now" and that will end poorly for them.

Before the elections, ~40% of the public said we were doing too much to support Ukraine vs. 30% who thought we were doing too little. Now that opinion has shifted, which I guess only shows that polls are only good at indentifying the people who like to complain.

Not a big fan of Shapiro, but it's important that his audience hears this, and not Tucker Carlson fanboy propaganda.

I think Shapiro is the first on the right who has licked his finger, stuck it in the air and sensed a shift in the wind. First he goes hard against tariffs and now this.

That's a lovely false dichotomy you've crafted to support your atrocious take.

"Clean on OPSEC"

Wanna bet that the Chinese cyber guys have already turned on the camera and microphone on that "personal" computer, and are monitoring everything that's going on in SD's office, which is a SCIF/SAP-F.

I'm guessing he's stuck in the days 15 or so years ago, when as a company commander, it came down from on high that you couldn't use thumb drives or have a cell phone in sensitive areas. He thought that was 'gay', and here we are. 😄

Chuck Hagel was a Sergeant, but was pretty clearly well past that as his last highest level leadership position by the time he was SecDef.

If the article is even halfway true, the fact that he now only has his old platoon sergeant, a leftover Colonel, and brother as his Pentagon inner circle now is a little… bizarre.

Honestly, I thought at worst he would be able to basically check out of much more than being the front man for the Department, letting the Deputy SecDef to the heavy executive level management work. Guess the job really is that hard.
